That’s a weird way to justify fucking over an uninvolved third party.

>fucking over an uninvolved third party

No one is being hurt by someone sharing their internet with me a few times a week.

The article is about surreptitious proxies.

So you are saying - make the poor pay taxes for the rich?

Not quite sure how you got that out of my comment, but no. In the US at least, those classified as poor have a very low tax burden, in many cases they pay $0, or close to $0 in federal taxes after standard deductions.

US taxes are wildly regressive. Last time Elon's taxes came up, I calculated that he pays taxes at about 1% the rate that I do (and most of us here do). Crazy!

You said the rich already generate tax revenue by creating jobs, but now you are saying those job holders hardly pay any taxes at all?

No entry for Sonos, the poster boy of enshitification?

I so want these to be a viable solution but man my experience so far is that it can barely be made to work and only in the most favorable environments. Compare that to the blink cameras I used to run outside where it occasionally went below -20F and they still went over a year on a couple batteries.

Crypto didn’t deserve much effort.

I would like to understand how the cost of AI power & infrastructure, more than the global annual gross revenue software sales, will be recouped while simultaneously delivering on the promise of putting technical services in the hands of anyone, which will naturally put downward pressure on the prices.

Why include Grok when it is clearly not even in the same category as the other three?

And the published and non-published works of mankind but no one seems to want to give us any credit.

Before you come and say something like Trump threatening to invade Greenland and annex Canada is just bluster/ these are democracies that answer to their people, and their people are mad about that, which is going to direct policy. The sentiment in those countries about the US is on par with those on Russia and China, if you think that is not to the US detriment I’m not sure what to say.

Also, not having to deal with the kind of assholes that are capable of both setting up and maintaining your physical infrastructure and are willing to travel on a moments notice to put out fires. Worth the price of AWS just to not have that dysfunctional lot to deal with.
